Christmas 2015 ...Part Three

Throughout the years of past, I have made letters from Santa for my grandchildren.  My grandchildren no longer believe in Santa, however, a friend of mine, Janis - her grandchildren do!

I took to making those children a letter from Santa this year. Oh my, how special the letter was received.  Janis (Naj) her grandchildren are still on the side of - oh I believe, in Santa.

Smucksville - from the video Naj sent forth, it was priceless to see the eyes of a child grow big.  The smile of Santa knows me, was precious.

I hope you all had a safe, warm, Christmas.  With food on your table and a roof over your head.

Two Slippers Are Better Than One...

WoW - how Psychedelic is this.  Yikers.  One made and one to go. I so enjoy to knit.

Unfortunately, I have ran out of yarn and will have to wait until the new year to proceed to make the pair of slippers.

We all yarn on!

Christmas 2015 - part two. . .

A picture of the prize I won at our ladies auxiliary christmas party.

A beautiful handmade pink felt hat (geez, when I tried it on, I wanted to toss it like Mary Tyler Moore).  A handmade tote bag (reversible - the reverse being denim blue).  Remarkable what gifts can be handmade.  They are the ones that are given from the heart. . . not purchased at a retail outlet.

A great time was had by all the ladies in attendance.  A great amount of money from our party is donated to our local hospital/hospice and gift baskets for those in need.

Lordy, it just warms my heart.  Merry Christmas.

Christmas 2015

The Christmas season is upon us.  We had our Ladies Auxiliary Christmas party on Wednesday of last.  It was great fun - ladies do know how to eat, drink, and be merry.

At our Christmas Party we do a fundraiser for our local hospital/hospice.  We bring baskets of goodies and you purchase tickets and place the tickets in a bag below the baskets.  If your name is drawn you win the prize.

Here is my basket for 2015

Homemade goodies - banana bread, knitted dishcloths, a John Prine cd, Nuts and Bolts, lots of nice stuffola.  The winner was delighted to have won...however, later came up to me and said...who is John Prine.  I replied, you will have to give it a listen and I am glad you asked the question...let me know what you think?

If you are out and about to your christmas functions, please make sure to taxi - do not drink and drive.

Hope you all have a safe, party time christmas.

John Prine - PA - December 5th/6th

A Prine friend/acquaintance of mine was in attendance at a recent John Prine concert, Reading PA - December 5th.

At the concert, John Prine fulfilled a wish for my friend, Sue.  To sing the song You Got Gold.  The Daddy of Sue has now passed away near five years ago, and You Got Gold was one of Sue and Daddy Sues' all time favorite Prine songs.

In the concert, John Prine dedicated the song You Got Gold to Sue and her family...her Mom, an Aunt, and a dear friend were with Sue.  Oh smucksville, Sue cried her eyes out, but they were happy tears.  Her Dad was near.

Here are a few photos John visiting the Martin Guitar factory.
I do not know who to thank for the photos, but mega thanks!
Great picture of Mr. Prine.
Here is a photo of Sue/Soph, John Prine, and the hulk of a security guard.  I believe the photo was taken 3 years ago.  Special just the same.

You Got Gold.  All of you - even that hulk guy :)

I was so very happy for Sue Umbrella.

My Guitars

A new addition to my guitar pin collection.  It is in the middle, straight from Nashville - Country Music Hall Of Fame/Museum. Fits in perfectly.  Just warmed my heart.  Thank you - Naj.
