Latex/Rubber Allergy - Ugly.

Hell On Earth!

It is getting better, for sure.  I do not wish this allergy on anyone.  It is painful and very, very itchy upon healing - and it is healing!

What a great photo.  I love the shoes the gentlemen are wearing.  Comfortable - as they are.

The Luke, Johnny, and the Ranger Blue

Oh good grief, we finally purchased a new/used vehicle - a Ford Ranger Sport.  It is sporty.  I finally drove it today.  I am not the worlds' best driver by no means.  I have much trouble in the category of vision.  This morning I thought oh my, there the Ranger blue sits - I am thinking of Luke Bryan and John Prine.  Get the keys, the cds, I am on the road.

Oh it was heaven.  I did not drive off the road.  Two times, I did have to pull off to the side because the music well it was just too good.  The blue has a great stereo system and I can tell soon I will have to pull right off the road to enable myself to do the Luke in full blossom and splendor.

Thank god I live rural because if I was in a city - driving and listening to the Luke and Johnny...oh my.  I think I would have had an accident, hopefully not the corner of 3rd and Green.

The Latex/Rubber Allergy, continues. . .

Oh my word, having an allergy to latex/rubber is pure hell on earth.  I have had severe allergies in the past, but nothing like this.  Wow!

My hands are taking a heck of beating.  They are full of blisters and the dead skin is continuing to peel at a rapid rate.  The foot, well, the dead skin is thick - it has to be cut off.  All is a very ugly, ugly, sight.

I have no way of knowing what the outcome of this maybe, I can only hope.

In the meantime, I did manage to waddle down to the creek and lordy, the creek is high.  No danger of flooding here, we are about 100' from the creek.  To waddling down there I sang Bear Creek Blues.

the water up on Bear Creek
tastes like cherry wine
the water up on Bear Creek
tastes like cherry wine
one drink of that water
you stay drunk all the time

Latex/Rubber Allergy

Not posting any photos, because all is just too ugly.  The first series of medication did not work.  The foot is infected and gone to the realms of spreading.  New medication given on Monday - geez - I hope it works.  The skin on the foot looks like it has been stomped on by one of those cows that run wild and free range here.  It is black and blue, skin is peeling and the new skin is very, very tender.  So tender, you do not want to walk or have anything touch it, rub it, or by accident hit your foot on something by not paying attention to where you are walking.

I never dream latex/rubber allergy could be so severe, but it is.  The life style of clothing certainly becomes an issue because near all clothing contains latex/rubber/elastic.  Footwear is a major problem - is there any footwear that does not contain latex/rubber?

Another day in Paradise tomorrow - I hope to see much improvement for my latex/rubber allergy.  If all goes well maybe I will be able to walk to the creek - wish me luck!

Egads - Latex Allergy

Last week I was outside doing some yard work - wearing my rubber boots.  The next day I felt an onslaught of sensations in my foot.  Pus pockets formed and I paid myself a visit to the doctor.  Eczema has set in.

The next day, again, outside doing yard work - I wore a pair of garden gloves, the rubber type.  Ouch, ouch, ouch - major mistakes.  I called to the doctor and explained my newest ailment and he told me I was having an allergic reaction to latex - a latex allergy.

Latex/rubber based materials are in everything.

I have a series of creams to put on this god awful ailment and I do hope it clears soon.  If not, I shall return to the clinic on Tuesday.

It is hard to work with a ding up foot and two hands that look like a million bees had a great lunch.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
