A Bullet? A Plane?

The other day, while attending to my dirty/filthy habit I noticed my seasonal neighbors' abode had a window blown out.

I raced in to tell Noisemaker, and we got ourselves, prepared to go over and investigate.

Noisemaker goes in first (with a flashlight), I stay behind with a flashlight - it was near darkness time.  I waited for Noisemaker to check everything and while awaiting I gazzed the over to wear my neighbor sets his footwear.

My word, what I saw was not any footwear, it was a dead bird ~ a grouse.  Flew to two panes of glass.

Apparently, this happens...so sad for the grouse - they mate for life.

I contacted my seasonal neighbor.  My noisemaker saw to it to cover the broken window...and life went on....

Can you imagine if you are seasonal and some bird splats through your window - you do not come up for six months...oh god, the smell, the bugs - it would be pukesville.

Our seasonal neighbor will arrive soon, he is thankful - I am too because it was not a bullet!  Only a bullet grouse.

John Prine ~ Melbourne, Florida ~ October 2015 (Scott Nolan)

John Prine recently held a concert in Melbourne, Florida ~ my Prine friend, Scott Nolan and his wife were in attendance.

While trying to digest the events of the day Scott and the Mrs. settled into some fine Prine.  As Prine sang his great musical compositions, Scott listen with more than two ears.

I hope I get this part right...John Prine comes to the microphone and starts talking about a book, Argyle Gargoyles written by Scott Nolan - who should be in the crowd tonight (Scott yells on out)...Mr. Prine explains about Scotts' book, thanks him and proceeds to play one of Scotts' favorite Prine songs...How Lucky Can One Man Get.  At the end of the song, John gives Scott a salute.

As Scott posted later, his wife teared up.  No lie, I did too.  I cannot imagine what Prine elation Scott felt during that concert.  Having being recognized by Prine that he wrote a book (containing a few/Prine related words - hahaha), well, folks this is Prine ultimate!

My word, Chuck - my Prine friend across the pond sings for John Prine.  Scott Nolan, from the other side of that pond is recognized for writing his book.  Folks,  I wonder what is next. . .

Anyone wanting to purchase Argyle Gargoyles - it is for sale via amazon.com

Jason Isbell/John Prine - Memphis

Jason Isbell - Memphis (photo courtesty of L. Jacques)
Not sure who to credit for this picture - but thank your Prine heart!

Jason Isbell.  My apologies, I have never heard a song by him.  I know of the Drive By Truckers, but I have never heard a song by them either.  God, I must get off this mountain side.

To the reviews I have read while Jason Isbell has opened for John Prine - absolutely great!  My friend, Donna who attend the Memphis show last night was blown away by Jason Isbell.

There is no way our village will have by Jason Isbell to purchase.  See more of Jason Isbell at www.jasonisbell.com

"John Prine asks you to come open up some shows for him, you don't argue about the details.  You go open the damn shows and you listen and learn" ~Jason Isbell~

My brother and I

My brother Wesley and I - September 19th, 2015

What a great time we had.  I never sang that much in a long, long time.  I have not seen Wesley in 7 years so to have this visit was very, very special, indeed.
Yeppers, we are having a great time!  Truly, it was golden ~ as is the love between a brother and a sister.
