He Has Risen

He has risen - My noisemaker has moved from the couch to the great outdoors.  Tomorrow he will pay dearly for it, he is greatly out of shape.

The long winter months here cause one to get out of shape.  It is hard to walk when winter is upon us.  I tend to dance all year long.  Movement - you have to move.  Your mind has to move too.  It cannot sit blank looking at a television screen, it has to be used ~ be it a crossword puzzle, a jigsaw puzzle, or a piece of a puzzle that you have missed in your soul.

Spring is not a smile away - it is here.  The hummingbirds arrived today.  I love spring - get the tulips and daffodils a-blossoming!  Happy Spring - hope it has arrived for you too.

A little sunshine, A little happiness

New suncatchers, ah - they bring a smile to my face.  It is happiness to watch them twirling and spinning around in the wind ... or perhaps a gentle breeze.  I love my plastic scarecrow fellow hanging just above the flower pot.  Most what I love about this picture is the shadow of the pine tree casting upon the wood shed.

I have been busy outside, when weather permits, raking up dead grass - taking up dead wood - it never ends.  It is enjoyable, it is kind of like baking or toe tappin' to Prine.

Soon I must bring Lydia back to life.  She needs a new head this year, I must visit on up to the second hand store and see what I can find.  My words, the rays from the sun burn Lydia's clothes to shreds.  Lydia believes it is Donald.

ah...life on the mountain side...

Yesterday, I tried - in between periods of rain - to do some outdoor work.  Weeding, cutting down some dead wood, and singing to pass the time.

I saw a strange vehicle coming down the driveway.  I stood up in my great stature and waved to the folks.  There were four of them in the vehicle (I thought to myself...oh my god what am I getting myself into).

A lady step on out of the vehicle with bible in hand...good afternoon - how can I help you...

You are weeding, I see your hands are filled with dirt

Yes I am and I do have many weeds to tend to

The bible speaks of weeds

Really, well now ain't that a great thing - my plot of land has something to do with a plot of land across the ocean, far far from me.

Do you have faith

Oh yes, by all means I do

What is your faith - what do you believe in

Well, I believe in myself, it is the faith of myself - me

We have many teaching to which we would like to share with you (or something like that)

I too, have teachings I would like to share with you.  {by this time my Noisemaker thought I had completely shot up to the moon - I see him at the window, wondering}.  You ever heard of John Prine - he wrote a song The Missing Years?

No, I can't say I have hear of that.

Well, let me tell you - what do you want to be when you grow up - jesus said god...

Our teachings are different from that...

Yes, but let me finish here; I recently watched the television series The Bible and my word, there were miracles performed....I hope you do have a very nice Friday.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

The lady thanked me for my time.  We waved and I went into Prine - The Missing Years.

Scott Nolan - Argyle Gargoyles Darkly Humorous Novel

Scott Nolan (my Prine friend) has his novel on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Argyle-Gargoyles-Darkly-Humorous-Novel/dp/1481118226

I have not read the entire book, yet.  I read about 98 pages/or so on line.  I giggled when I read about the cow tipping.  The book has several read - in between - the lines. What do you think you might find - smucksville John Prine!

Scott - I hope another novel is on your agenda - I wish you All The Best!

Our Backyard

This is what we woke up to this morning.  Beautiful in a photo, but smucksville I want spring.  We were doing so well, the snow had all but melted - there were puddles to splash in.  The tulips and daffodils had sprouted out of the ground and then this.  I am very thankful there is sunshine and blue sky today.

...spring is just a smile away...John Prine

It Is Spring

The snow is melting, the rock hearts are trying to beam - they are beautiful.

Finally, we reached closer to civilization with the hook up of high speed internet via satellite.  Good grief and holy smucksville, I have missed much.  The youtube aspect - oh my, I can dance up a storm, click my heels and pretend to tap dance.

I have seen much on youtube, but my favorite #1 - is John Prine - Vancouver - May 5th, 2012 - Paradise.  Thank you mountainlion.

Favorite #2 - is John Prine - Jesus - The Missing Years.  Smucksville, my Noisemaker and I recently watched the series, The Bible.  It was all very confusing to me.   I believe in myself, I have my own church.  It is the church of Beverlee ~ all you have to do to join is sing and dance.

#3 Favorite - Two Of Us - The Beatles.  I teared up when I saw John Lennon and George Harrison.  My brother and I sang the song in our younger years...they were not missing.

John Prine ~ Jesus ~ and MY CAKE!

Carrot Bundt Cake - it is yum!

A great recipe I have found to combine a cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream , et al.  This turned out perfect.  I believe the addition of the sour cream and pudding mix makes this cake super moist!  I made this cake for a luncheon held by the auxiliary ladies - a memorial service.

I will post the recipe under separate - Recipes.

Noisemaker and I have completed The Bible series.  Good grief and heavenly days...there is much I do not follow nor understand.  I am satisfied with the believe of Beverlee, the forest - the animals - myself.  I believe in myself.

Noisemaker is more ...hmm...educated than I on that jesus/god stuffola.  He explained much to me during the series.  I never got the 'god' thing?  God seems to be everywhere and it seems no one has seen God...

...and what do you want to be when you grow up - jesus said, God...
