Spring Is Here!

The geese have been with us for near two weeks now.  Ducks abound.  The eagles, also have arrived.

I think the bears have too.  I was outside trying to compose my Lydia for the adventure of 2016 and notice some big, black, four legged beast down the path.  I ran into the house.  Bears need food, want it, and will get it - in any form or fashion.  I do not want to be on their menu.

ah, but I have a whistle!

On the mountain side - ones safety is first and foremost.  When you feel safe, then you dance, you Prine!

John Prine 2016 - Fish & Whistle Tour

Holy Smucksville - is not this Prine delightful!

Fish & Whistle artwork - thank you Charlene Stevenson.

Prine Smucksville, hopefully Vancouver, B.C. July - I will be there!

Lydia

Oh my, my Lydia is not a happy camper this spring.  She has missed her Donald for two years in a row.  Can you believe that the Donald has went elsewhere.  How could he do that when the great Lydia with her beautiful eyes is gazing out on the pastures, awaiting.

Lydia received a new head this spring, complimented with new eyes, lips, and rosy cheeks.  Her headdress attire completes her ensemble.

...Donald - there were spaces between Donald and whatever he said, strangers had forced him to live in his head...John Prine

That (Curse Word) Parking Lot

Last Wednesday, I was off to deliver cupcakes for our community Bingo evening.  The delivery was accomplished.

Upon exiting the parking lot - no accomplishment.  Yikers and smucksville, I backed into a parked car.  It was not a foreign sports car.  Glory was no where near in sight.

Yes, I just stood there in the parking lot - leaning on the left leg - because all is uphill/downhill.  I truly was shook up.  My word, I have just delivered cupcakes and now, all hell is broken loose.

I went back to the community center to tell my friend...I hit your vehicle.  We exchange the necessary insurance papers and all was well.  I am forgiven because being the generally safe driver I am - never had an accident in well over 50 years.

However, now my Noisemaker, I must tell.  His baby is now damaged.  As I arrive home, he is talking with the cancer specialist.  Oh my fn oath, this is not going to be a good day.

I step outside.  I am not religious - so I sing Prine - all the snow has turned to water...and I just backed into a vehicle...smoking a cigarette in the path and desperately trying to get my marbles safely and firmly in my mind to explain the little dent in the truck.

I did my best, Noisemaker went to where Linda resides.  Sh*t happens.  Life goes on.

Noisemaker has resided to the fact his Blue Ranger has suffered a smucksville.  Yeppers, Sh*t happens and life goes on...

A Quiet Sunday Afternoon On The Mountain Side

A very quiet, spring day on the mountain side.  This is the latest installment of my knitting projects - ode to color, I love color.

Can't believe spring is upon us.  I anticipate the tulips will be in blossom soon.

I love to sing with the birds - even though we are not singing in tune.  It is a happy time to see the snow melting and new vegetation coming on it.

...another day passes on the mountain side...

Oh yes, and Lydia, she is going to get a new head this spring.  Donald has not been around for two years, her head fell off.  My Lydia...here in better days

Yes, my dearest Lydia, we will have to do a bit of resurrecting this year.

Walking In Memphis - Marc Cohn

Marc Cohn, John Prine, Joan Osborne, and Jorma Kaukonen

Marc Cohn wrote Walking In Memphis - one of my favorite songs.  If I shall ever step off a bus/train/or plain in Memphis, I would sing this song.

Sometimes, I simply change his words to fit my own environment.  I do a lot of that and it is fun!  ~Be Happy and Smile~
