My Yankee

On June 28th, 2005 - my dog - Yankee crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  I miss him dearly, he was my best friend.  Yankee was part border collie and siberian husky.  A beautiful dog.  The picture is not great, he was six months old at the time of picture taking. I took the picture from a picture.

We (Noisemaker and I) received Yankee from the SPCA.  Not known to us Yankee was epileptic.  It did not matter, he was treated with medication and became a very special part of our family.

Yankee was cremated and I hope dearly his ashes are what I received.

We received Yankees' ashes on June 30th, 2005.

June 30th, 1990 is when we adopted Yankee from the SPCA.

My Boy, My Do, My Big Bunch Of Honey.  I miss you.  Oh yes, his favorite song was Happy Birthday - I would say to him...I think it is someones' birthday today and then break out a great rendition of Happy Birthday.  He would howl along with me.  So many happy times we had together.

We will be together again, Yankee one day.  I will meet you when I too, cross the Rainbow Bridge and Yankee - I will bring you chips and gravy!

Wood, many curse words...

Wood, Wood, and more Wood.  My word, I do not mean to bitch and complain, but truly, I am getting far too old to do it.

The woodman delivered great wood this season.  Although much has to be split, it is good wood and will be a welcomed sight in the on coming winter months.

Yeppers, here is the lastest puzzle I finished.  I am addicted to puzzles.  A good addiction, indeed.  Now I am into trading puzzles with my neighbors.  Puzzles are a great way to pass the time - no comment on wood.

The Doves of Love

The Doves of Love have not fallen off their perch - only received a garden, hand crafted addition/companion.

I had some glass stones, rocks, hearts, glitters and two doves (a huggin'), this is the outcome.

I hope everyone finds love in their mind.  If you have it in your mind it is safe for your body and soul - hopefully.

I wish you all love, I wish you happiness.

Quack Quack

Quack, Quack - a new friend has arrived.  She is a female mallard duck and very hungry.  Seems to like her new surroundings and quacks near as much as I lip flap!

I am so loving doing the jigsaw puzzles.  What a great hobby.  This one, so far, is my favorite.  Not too hard and lots of fun to do.

Garden Flowers

Yellow/White and Pink/White Columbine

This is a gorgeous, delicate flower.  Seeds itself and very easy to grow - low maintenance.

I do not know what this is.  My friend gave me a seed card which he received from his work.  I planted it and smucksville, this is what I got.  I call it The Kevin Plant.

Wild Flowers

Wild Rose - truly, it is more of a weed here.  Nothing quite like squatting down and getting a thorn in your butt!

Wild Bachelor Buttons - these spring up everywhere.

Wild flowers are very nice on the mountain side.

My Tomato Plants

Beefsteak and one unknown
Siberian is in the next pot

Super Sweet and Yellow Pear

The beefsteak and yellow pear are most aromatic.  My friend gave these to me when they were only about 1 1/2".  My word, I do hope they grow big and strong and produce a major crop of tomatoes.

Homegrown tomatoes, homegrown tomatoes
What'd life be without homegrown tomatoes
Only two things that money can't buy
And that's true love and homegrown tomatoes
