A Bit Of Knitting. . .

Slippers for my Grandsons.  Yeppers, 22 and 20 years old and I make them slippers with mega-size pompoms.  Only a Gramma can do this.

They appear rather hole-ly in the photo but eh, that only gives each slipper individual character.

A new knitting project and very easy to do.  Christmas tree bell decorations - with a little bell inside.  I shall make several of them and give to my family and friends.  With a note attached - Merry Christmas from your Ding-A-Ling friend.

John Prine - Davenport, Iowa - November 11th, 2016

John Prine - Davenport, Iowa - November 11th, 2016
Jason, Fiona, John and Pat
Save the best for last.

I love to see what folks are wearing on their feet.  Comfy shoes, hikers, boots, flip flops, what-have-you.

My Prine friend, Reeda Buresh was in attendance (backstage) at Prine - Davenport.  She had thought of me and my fancy of footwear.  She zoomed on in and snapped the footwear of John Prine.

When I first viewed the photo, oh my I laughed and laughed.  Finally, I placed my arms on the desk and rested my head...laughing and laughing.  Calm came to me, I regained, and went outside for some fresh air.  The fresh air was there and so was more laughter.

Nothing finer than Prine footwear and laughter.

Thank you Reeda Buresh for the great photos, especially the footwear.

Parkers' for Prine
Des Moines, Iowa

A Prine acquaintance of mine, Patti Parker and her Parker family attended the Prine - Des Moines, Iowa show.  How special is this - they had Prine t-shirts made.  The the front of the t-shirt read - Parkers' For Prine.  Great way to spend a special evening with family and Prine.

Thanks for the photo, Patti Parker.

John Prine ~ For Better, Or Worse

What a nice way to put the icing on the cake for John Prine.  For Better, Or Worse bursts on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart at #2.  Next week, #1.

Prinesmuckville!  Congratulations - John Prine.

Thank you Jason Wilber for the photo.  Jason was the Co-Executive Producer on
For Better, Or Worse.

Happy Birthday, John Prine

Cheers, Beers, and Prine on October 10th.  Late I am.

Little does he know, my Noisemaker also turned 70 this year.  A ripe youngin' age it is...well, for some.

Birthdays like a 70th are golden.  Happy Birthday John Prine.

John and Fiona Prine

Love.

John Prine ~ Nashville - 2016/10/01

Wowsville, Prinesville - Call It What You Want Ville.

From the posts I have received so far, it must have been the best Prine show to date.  Many musicians attended Johns' 70th birthday party.  A few (that I know) - Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Kathy Mattea, and Lee Ann Womack.  Family of Johns' ~ wife, Fiona along with their sons Tommy and Jack.  Also brother Billy Prine.  It would not be a Prine concert without the outstanding bass/guitar playing of David Jacques and Jason Wilber.

John was presented with the keys to the City of Nashville by the reigning Mayor Megan Barry.  Received a birthday cake from all on stage and everyone joined on in the song Happy Birthday tune for John Prine.

Happy 70th Birthday, John Prine.

John Prine ~ Nashville ~ 2016 ~ The Midst. . .

Some Prine met for the first time, others well hells bells, they are always on the Prine.

Minnesota Mark, Naj, Jeff, and my friend.

Cannot you see the Prine anticipation on their faces.  Good Grief, Prine at The Ryman.  How lucky can some folks get.
