My Dearest, Lydia

From This To ...
She still seems to have somewhat a sparkle in her non eyes.  A major windstorm took her eyes and sent to a non-returnable address.  They shall return in the spring.  Lydia is eternal.

Young, Neil - This Is Beautiful

If I could hug Neil Young,  I would.

Thank You - CBC.

Our Annual Fall Dinner

My contribution to the annual Fall Dinner.  All were gobbled up and enjoyed.  Unfortunately, a lady in quick haste dumped all the leaves into the trash.  I recycle.  Thank god, all the cupcakes were eaten up by that time.

Carnations - my favorite.  They were free to take home after the gala event.

I did try to lip flap some Prine to no avail.  Paradise is much where we live in the summer months, but hell on earth in the winter time.

No matter, Mr. Prine rings through to me all year 'round.

Young Neil - The Sugar Mountain Years by Sharry Wilson

My prize arrived in the mail today.

Young Neil - The Sugar Mountain Years by Sharry Wilson.

Google - Sharry Wilson - Young Neil.

The link I previous posted does not compute.

I was beyond excitement to win this prize and to receive it on John Prines' 68th birthday.  Geez, what more could one ask for.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy 68th Birthday, John Prine

I am sending early birthday wishes today to John Prine (1946-10-10) on his 68th birthday.

May the gates of friendship that you have with your audience never show rust.

Happy Birthday, John Prine.

Lydia, my dearest....

My dearest Lydia is sad.  She missed her Donald this summer.  No one came to pay her a visit. No Hans or Jose.  Her heart is near broken and she knows winter is coming on in.  She rests her head and dreams on.

A Side Trip

We took a side trip yesterday up to Mahood Falls/Mahood Lake.  Here are a few pictures.
Mahood Falls - much better flow in the early spring (we will have to return).
Mahood Lake - very beautiful.
Rock Formations.
We were at the top and across from what you see here.  Below is like a thousand feet to this. . .
Geez, if you slip - you are dead.  Needless to say, I stayed a good 7 feet from the edge.
And moss grows fat on a rolling stone. . .
A tapestry of birch.

A very nice day we had.  Noisemaker was able to walk about 2k but that was it, he did good.  Next spring when it is run off time; we will return.

The Moon

It was very peaceful outside when I took this photo.
It was not so peaceful for this photo.  lol - I walked up the driveway and was setting up to take another picture of the moon.  It was hard to see where I was walking and I tripped but had my finger on the camera clicker - this is the picture I received.  An upside down heart moon.

Container Garden

A few of the vegetables from the garden.  I love the reward of fresh garden vegetables.  I had lots of red potatoes, enough beets to do pickled beets and lots of cauliflower and broccoli for homemade soups and stews.

Gardening passes time for me.  I generally am out there everyday in the summer - lip flappin' with Lydia - singing the tune of the day and seeing what is new in the pots of love today!

again...the saga continues...

We were in the village today because Noisemaker had to have his staples removed.  All went well, there was no heavenly body lifted to make his spirits somewhat brighter.

I had to hoist up 50 lb. water bottles which near took me to death, my word, I do not even weigh 100 lbs.  The job got done and I will pay for it tomorrow.  I cannot bring the water bottles to the abode so I will ask my good neighbor for some help.  It will not be a problem for him because he knows I bake!  He is a bachelor and appreciates so much a loaf, some cupcakes, anything I bake it is a Martha Stewart thing - it is a good thing.

My brother, the retired postman called me up the other day.  He wanted to know how the Noisemaker was progressing.  Nice that he called.  At the initial Hello, he stuttered, cough, and truly was a vocal mess...I said - Hello, Wesley - it is Okay - Everything is Cool.

We discussed the recent events/daily on-goings in his life and mine.  Everything was cool.  We lip flapped for about 15 minutes and then I said to my brother, oh my, I am cool.  I do not have a sweater so I best truck on into the house.  ah, Wesley says - you had to have a cigarette didn't you - yeppers, right you are - you superstar and now we all shine on. . .

Wes, I gotta go now.  I love you, goodnight.  Wesley replies - just one moment - I hear noises.  Then to the telephone I hear...a strum of the guitar...a voice comes in clearer...it sings...

Beverlee, everything is cool, everything's okay.

John Prine - Everything Is Cool

ah, the saga of the Noisemaker, continues

Yikers, what a zoo this is!  I have never experienced such before.  Trust me the noisemakers' previous surgery was much better to deal with than this.

He did make it home and rested very comfortably for the first night.  The second night - lord have mercy on my soul - all hell broke loose.

I have never witnessed such a change in personality as I have witnessed with the noisemaker.  Everything is wrong in his world - nothing is right - and nothing will be.  The agitation he has is near beyond.

Sad, fallen situation for sure - but you have to plod on and take the bitter with the sweet.

I plod, I sing.  I sing John Prine - and I sing my own words to his songs - giggle, giggle.

John Prine Drawing
