How Sad It Is. . .

How sad it is when love ones die.

A rose to remember all.

Sad as it is, we all must depart the world in which we know.  Death is sad.  I do not want to become acquainted with it any to soon.

On Easter Sunday, my Aunty died - she was 86.  She was my last Aunty to die on my Dad's side of the family.

On Mothers' Day, Sunday, my Aunty died - she was 86, also.  I was not her favorite niece but she was still family.

Today, I receive word my Prinette friend, Amy - her Mom died.  Amy shared so many events, outings, and photos with her Prine friends.

Spring

Spring has arrived and I am loving it!

This heathen is too!  Ready to leap.  After I had taken the photos of my dear Lydia, I saw the crazy one and was able to quickly snap.

Lydia - She Has Risen!

Lydia has risen!  Oh my she is a beaut this year.  Blush, new eyes, eyelashes - She knows Donald is out the somewhere. . .
The ensemble 2014 consisting of a Levi's shirt - thank you Noisemaker (it has not fit him for years).  Many new accessories and she wears them very well.  I had such a fun time outfitting Lydia this year.  We do have great times together, we Prine!

John Prine - Pittsburg, PA

Great picture!

Benedum Center.

Highlight of my day, indeed.

I have worked endless hours today trying to get our annual bake sale to ready on up for tomorrow morning.

It was raining, it was cold and all those women yapping at me, is no place for a 58 year old! ~lol

Another Day In Paradise...

A few bake sale items for our annual community bake sale.  Oh my, I so enjoy to do it.  I wrap everything in appealing (buy me - buy me), wrap.  Not like some that wrap in tin foil and expect the consumer to hey, buy me, buy me!

Honey-Nut Pecan Loaves along with Breakfast Carrot Cake.  Both with a vanilla glaze are in the photo above.

I do pre-sale to for the bake sale.  The seasonal folks call me up for those wonderful Honey-Nut Pecan Loaves.  My word, those are great, you bake - you freeze.  When company arrives - thaw and serve.

Spring...is just a smile away

I am wearing a smile today ~  Spring is just a smile away.  To note ~ I feel it my dancing step too.

Rough couple of days our abode continues to have.  I do hope for better days.   I anticipate the worst and I hope for the best.

I so do miss my Mom, I loved her.  She taught me so much that I never would have learned in school.

Happy Mothers' Day. Hugs and Hearts Abound!

Men, Men, Men

I am posting today on Men.  Men, Men, Men can be such a pain in the butt sometimes.  You honestly do feel like you could pitch a flinger (a small 2 X 4) at them.  Knock them on the head and hope some sense has permeated.

I am trying to make a giggle or two out of a fallen, sad, situation - but a situation just the same.

My Noisemaker was into the doctor for a routine check up last week.  He received a call back and was told his PSA grade/number was 'slightly' high.  An appointment has now be scheduled with a specialist in the city.

Too add, from the series of check up tests, Noisemaker is also bordering on type 2 diabetes.  Not a good combination.  My Noisemaker loves my baking, loves candy, and chocolate.  A different eating habit is on the rise.

For you folks that are kind enough to view this blog, ~ please relay to all your male friends and family that a PSA is important.  All men over 40 for sure, should have this test done.

Women who read this blog - if your male friends and relatives do not go in to have a check up - please, ladies get the flinger!

Luke Bryan - Stagecoach - April 2014

oh teehee, Luke - really RED!

Photo - Stagecoach

Wow - what a weekend it must have been.  An acquaintance of mine, Jessica was able to attend Stagecoach this year.  Unfortunately, if she opted for John Prine should would have lost her pit spot for Luke.  Ah, alas, the young lass did well - she opted for the fellow sporting red ... hmm...

Jess had everything she needed to Luke.  Hat, boots, voice, drinks ~ et al.  She will be returning next her and has high hopes Luke will too.

If I, in the meantime win lotto - well. . .I will leave the venues opened. . .

A picture says a thousand words.  I have three.
A happy man.

An acquaintance of mine was fortunate enough to take in the event of the day.  He was Prinesville, he was near taken on up to Prine smucksville, but luckily he still resides, happily, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Paradise - Has Not Been . . .

Lord have mercy, my Noisemaker and I have got bitten by the flu bug.  Poor Noisemaker started off with such a bad cough.  He would cough, I would laugh - it struck me funny.  It did not strike my funny bone when I started to catch the flu bug.  The bug - truly, it can bugger off now, we are sick of having the flu.

My word, my Noisemaker lost 13 pounds.  Good grief, if I don't rid myself of this flu I will waste to nothing. I am currently a hefty 91 pounds of thunder and lightening.

It has been a rough couple of weeks.  My Aunty died, she was my favorite Aunty on my Dad's side of the family.  Everyone knew it was coming, but death is hard.  Death is sad.  I am glad she no longer has to suffer.  She is at Peace.

Noisemaker had to go to the hospital today, for tests.  Hopefully, nothing serious.  I went in with him, initially but as soon as I knew the wait, I went to sit in the vehicle.  I popped on out of the vehicle as it was a nice, sunny day.  While out in the parking lot (eh, that is the same parking lot I got into the great conversation about John Prine last year - teehee)....I heard a woman yell - hurry up, hurry up - we have to get a move on...you are so slow.  I watched, thinking a flock of kids would be coming out of the vehicle.  Not to be. What I saw was a very elderly man, struggling to get his feet from the vehicle to the ground.  She kept yelling.  I near went over and smacked her.  The elderly fellow finally was able to get grounded and proceeded towards the hospital.  I found this all so sad.  Do not people realize the elderly are the people that were here prior to you smart ones, you know young folks know everything.  I wish they would treat the elderly with respect, peace, and kindness.  One day they will be there too and I do hope they are treated the way they treated the elderly in their younger days - you big pukes!

Let The Growing Season Begin. . .

Six different types of tomatoes.  I hope they all take and yield me a great crop of homegrown tomatoes.

Planted some beets also.  The rest of the garden will be planted mid May.  All is melting outside, the sun is shining and the sky is blue.

I welcome Spring!
