Daisy

Daisy, the doe.

She is coming to visit so much, I had to give her a name.  Daisy loves that patch of land, it has Saskatoon berry bushes and lots of greens to which she loves both.

Noisemaker had gone to the store, generally this is where the van is parked.  It is located probably about 10 feet from our porch.  The doe will have a partner soon, there are two young bucks around that will be courting her out.

I was busy outside when Noisemaker returned.  I knew he had returned because the van was parked, I did not know where he was.  I came into the house, lungs-a-whalin' ...quit hollerin' at me - louder - louder - louder, sweet serenity...

I hear in the background - no serenity here, you are singing.  I roared with laughter - I am still laughing.

Beautiful weather, beautiful day, and most of all ~ beautiful music!

A tall, catching photo from yesterday.  A huge piece of driftwood made into - hello, it's the captain speaking.

Oh, the hunk man cometh...

Bruce will be doing a Vancouver show - November 26th.  Exciting just thinking about it.  I will not be able to attend but will be there in spirit.  I attend many concerts in that style.

Luke Bryan - ah, too funny

Way too funny for me and Thank You Naj (Janis Ferguson) for sending it for me.  I laughed so hard when I received this, I near had to go to the porch.  I had it in my head that I would save it to post here.  I got myself giggling and in Luke Bryan frenzy, I deleted everything and had to Naj resend.  I truly have to purchased this cd of his.  Oh my, I'd be giggling all the time.  I can so see myself (in my younger days) in these Luke Bryan songs.  Now, I opt just to sing-a-long perhaps dance a step or two.

We are busy doing wood, oh the wood is such hard work.  I spent four hours out there this morning, now I rest.  Geez, seems like every year I post about the (many curse words) wood.  Sometimes, I have to just buck up and take the bitter with the sweet...and as I  say to Noisemaker...I am the only sweet around here.

Busy week ahead, Noisemaker is having his birthday, can you believe 66 years old!  I will be baking him his favorite - lemon pie.  We are going out for lunch down the highway to the Coyote Grill for The Burp Burger, this Friday.  Coyote Grill is only opened in the summer months and only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  I am looking forward to it.

Another peaceful day on the mountain side, I hear no music blasting from the alein down the road; but I should not be because the lunatic is in the clink where he belongs, doing weekend time for stealing at our general store.

I must tend to mode of lolly gag, lolly gag at Noisemaker as he is trying to do wood.  His health (blood pressure wise is good, but his foot is throbbing like my heart when I view Bruce Springsteen or go to a John Prine concert).

Oh yes, when we do wood there are pieces, I simply refuse to deal with.  I make piles for Noisemaker to deal with.  Today I made three piles, one pile is for pit wood, one pile is for - I cannot deal with these and the third pile is the same as the second.  I was opting to confuse Noisemaker.  He looked at the piles, okay - he says, pit wood...and what is this, I told him, I cannot deal with that and did we not go through this before...what is this pile, he says, I told him - I was singing John Prine - again, he shook his head, no further questions were asked to me.  You gotta love life on the mountain side.

Good Morning Daisies

It's a beautiful, peaceful morning.

It will not be peaceful very long, we are having cords of wood being delivered today.  Guess what I'll be doing for the next week.  Yeppers, correct you are.  Splitting, stacking, singing, and swearing.

Everyone ~ Happy Friday.

In Memory

My Mom and Dad

It is 13 years tomorrow since my Mom left our family, geez I miss her.  She was such a special lady.  My Dad was a special man too - they made me!

I know that the little bit of spitfire instilled in me probably makes them roll over in the gravesite, but that is fine - keeps them active.

I miss you, Mom - I will always love you.

WOW - a party it is...

and it is only me.  I love the music I am listening to.  Bob Welch - Ebony Eyes.  The Cashes - September When It Comes.

They do walk amongst us - the alien that resides next to me should be called back home, he does not belong here.  He should be with his own kind.  He does spend time with his kind - in the clink - weekends only.  I should not waste my time on a lunatic.  I should try retain what sanity I have left - it is imperative, I do.  In the land of lunatics ~ lol ~ I am a rock heart.

Oh my, where is my retired letter carrier - we could be dancing up a storm - singing, laughing.  I really should take a trip and go visit him, I miss him.

Oh my, who is this hunk I have singing in my ears...Eddy Grant!  I am truly enjoying my day!  If my memory holds up, the next song should be Redbone.  It is.  The Voodoo Queen song...eh, I could be the witch dancing queen of the mountain side.

...you'd think that waitress could get my order right the first time...and John - all mailmen deliver junk mail.

...you won't find me walkin' round your part of town - humidity built the snowman - sunshine brought it down...

...and me and 'Bert' would stay up late - I used to watch him contemplate

Italic - Music of John Prine.  Thanks, Johnny.

It's My Party

...and it isn't even my birthday!

I was awoke early this morning by the sound of blasting music.  The alien that resides next door decided to play some of his fine, fine music.  Do not get me wrong here, I love music.  I do not like it blaring or blasting nor do I enjoy hearing it at 3:00 a.m.  I listened to three hours of music blasting.  At 8:00 a.m. I telephoned to the police (seems like I know all the police at the local detachment).  I filed my complaint and although the police have expressed their sympathy, there is not much they can do.  They do let me vent my frustrations, I am thankful for that.

oh, alas - my day gets even better.  I started in on cooking up some hashbrown/ham hash.  I brought the eggs out to the counter and a knock came to the door.  I bent to see through the window and promptly knocked the eggs to the floor - eggs everywhere.  Appearing in the doorway is the other lunatic from across the road, down the way.  I have no patience here, I live in the lol.  That does not stand for laughing out loud - it stands for land of lunatics.  I seem to be surrounded by them.

I was near the point of beyond livid.  It takes mega to get me to that point.  To make a long story more near my height (short); I am currently sitting here trying to calm myself, do the deep breathing and I am listening to the music I enjoy (with headphones).  Oh, who would that be -- and, no I am not listening to John Prine.  I am listening to a cd my brother made for me.  It is filled with music from the 60's.  I have Lesley Gore on now - a duet - It's Only Make Believe.  I sing Lesley's part.

I should mention I am alone, in peace.  I am lovin' it.  I love to sing, I love to dance, and I love to giggle so hard it makes my stomach hurt.

Next song is Summer Wine - Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra - I sing both parts.  ....she took my silver spurs, a dollar and dime and left my craving for more summer wine.

Remember Walkin' The Sand - Leader of the Pack - The Shangri Las - anyone remember?  Help Me Make It Through The Night (written by that hunk of a Kris Kristofferson), sung here by Tammy Wynette.

CSN&Y - Woodstock - what harmony.  I'm fitting right in.  hahaha

Here we go girls - Diana, Mariah, and I.  I blend in the middle.  Ain't No Mountain High Enough.  I gotta dance.

Lydia

To Continue On - with my day - Poor Lydia.

When we returned home, I ventured out towards Lydia - my word - her eye was not there.  I knew Donald has always had his eye on Lydia but I never dreamed he would come and focus on it, take it away and fling it.

I spoke with Lydia, told her I will find your eye, be with me girl, Prine - sing.  Sing we did.  Lydia loves Paradise!

I found her eye - glued it back on - she whispered in my ear - when is Donald coming for me?  I told Lydia - you are built strong this year, Donald may not arrive.

Lydia's heart was near broken - she will regain - she always does ~ kinda of reminds me of me!
