I Had A Dream Last Night. . .

...I had a dream last night, last night I had a dream...(John Prine)

Yes, I sure did - I met all my John Prine friends. Only thing, I don't know where we were; but everyone was there and we were having a Prine Time.

Reeda took me to a room - down a hallway we went. I anticipated we would meet our Johnny - and we did. Unfortunately, our Johnny was writing Happy Birthday Dear Reeda and not batting an eye at me. All I saw was the handwriting; I saw a green ring. John was wearing black, I did not even get to see the boots - only arms and writing. oh, alas, dreams.

So many Prine friends and we were all lip flappin' at once. Some folks, I did recognize; others I did not. It was so much fun. I awoke this morning with one hell of a headache; dream overtime.

Thank you Janis for the heart. Love it; as I do chocolate, heart rocks, and hugs.

Wisconsin, Bayfield

Have mercy on Bayfield, Wisconsin - Prinettes/Priners will be flocking in near the 19th of August. I, so wish, I could be a part of the flock.

Recently, I seemed to have fallen off my perch.

I may have fallen, but in the fall ~ I Prine.

New Cleats

Happy Days -- new cleats are going to be arriving soon! I am so deathly afraid of walking on the ice; well - I just do not do it anymore. I have not been to pick up the mail for two days and furthermore, I will wait for Monday. It is death sentence to be outside walking, everywhere is ice.

These cleats are called Icers. They are from Lee Valley Tools and I anticipate they will be of high quality. Lee Valley is high quality.

On a side note; I was chatting yesterday with a representative from Proctor and Gamble. I am having difficulty with their website and required some assistance. I asked the question -to where have I got to - where are you located? The lady replied, Wisconsin. Oh, I near went to lip flappin' overtime. I told her, I know people in Wisconsin - I have friends there. I spoke of Burlington where Tom lived. I spoke of Charlene in Madison. I continued on; we met through John Prine, Prinesville. I do not believe she knew of John Prine; but she was polite just the same. She was located near Green Bay (is the Bay green - is there money floating in it ;)

Ode to Prine, anytime.

A New Visitor...

A new friend came and paid us a visit yesterday morning. It was a Weasel.

So cute, it was. It is rare to see - a Weasel, I mean a real Weasel.

Many politicians are weasels.

I ventured out to try to get to the mailbox yesterday; should not have done that. An elderly couple stopped and inquired if I wanted assistance. I thanked them, waved, and hoped for the best.

I have my cleats, my walking stick - the ice was just too much for me. I crawled and I made it home.

Unfortunately, today while shopping, I lost my cleat. Noisemaker, will never be the same. He ranted and raved like he lost a million dollars in some far off foreign investment.

I was happy for him to drive - somewhat safely - down the road to home...and with one cleat I proceeded to our house.

...it takes four walls to make a house
...it takes love to make a home

StuffOlive Eggs

These are delicious! They are beer material.

Slice 6 hard-cooked eggs (27 minutes starting in cold water and let them cool down) in half lengthwise. Gently remove yolks and place in bowl; with fork, finely crumble yolks. Stir in 1/4 cup Hellmanns Mayonnaise (do not use any other kind because that mayonnaise it too tart) and 2 tablespoons of Frenchs prepared mustard. Coarse chop about 8 to 10 pimento stuffed olives - add to mixture. Pile into egg white centres. Refrigerate covered. Makes 12 stuffolive eggs. Enjoy!

My Back Yard

Evening sunset.

My Christmas Baking

This is some of my christmas baking, my sugar cookies. I bake so much - I think I am baking for the entire neighborhood - but I do love to bake.

I make up baking boxes for our mail delivery person and for my fine neighbor, Gary (he lives two down from us). They do enjoy them. Such a fine assortment of goodies I placed in the boxes - sugar cookies, butter tarts, chocolate chunk cookies, chocolate chip cookies - lots of goodies - and a candy cane! I enjoy to do it, I enjoy to share.

Our John Prine Christmas Tree

I am going backwards here. I am so excited I learned this process today. Smucksville!

This is our christmas tree - our John Prine Christmas tree. We have a small home, it does not constitute a big tree. When we first move here; I was telling one of the ladies I met that we could only have a small tree and that we would purchase one. She told me not to bother, to come with her; and this is what she gave to me. I decorated it up with handmade christmas decorations and it gives a fine spirit of christmas. Noisemaker loves it!

I love doing this!

The Luge

Oh Thank You, god of Nikon and god of Brett I made it work! Happy Days.

This is the luge - our walkway. It is about 100 feet to the roadway. Today, it is near glare ice. I tried to walk it; but I did not even get to the roadway. I am afraid to walk on ice, even with cleats. It is one year today that I receive that beautiful attire; my cast. Darn wrists will never be right again.

I am all a flutter now that I uploaded the photos correctly, I'll be snappin' my fingers off, can't catch me now! YIPPEE!
