ah, the last day of September; it is beautiful here. The leaves are changing color, the fish are near finishing their life cycle, the birds are filling their bellies, and I am here to enjoy all.
I was washing my locks today and a light bulb went off in my brain because while in the shower I could not read the sample bottles ... whether it is shampoo or conditioner. I shut off the water, went and got my reading glasses and found out that shampoo is white capped and conditioner is black capped. Then, I wonder - heck - what if you are colored blind...then what do you do?
I got back in the shower and proceeded to wash up my locks. I think tomorrow I will be doing the same thing but with a different shampoo and conditioner. These samples, I would not be purchasing. My head is itching like I have some love bug up there biting me.
After I finished up with my trial of washing my locks, I decided to do some glass work. Last year, I received some broken grass/glass from Charlene. I got the bowling balls and now I have started to cut up the glass. Enjoyable it is. I have safety gloves, safety glasses, and I sang Safety Joe by John Prine - just to keep on the 'safe' side.
My wrists are not quite accomodating to the project; but a lil bit each day will be fine.
Off to the creek, I am; to see the last days of the spawn - to watch the eagles and the rest of the birds. Watch Mother Nature at her finest.

Another Day In . . .
Every morning near first light, I walk on up to the roadway just to make sure everything is still the same as what it was last night. It was.
We had a sprinkle of rain and about two hours later - that would make it near 7 a.m. I strolled on up the path again. Things were not the same. The earth, itself had changed. I could not figure it out. Every step I took creatures were zipping on back to the earth, very fast. I took a few steps off the path; and I am thinking this is worm territory. Sure enough, there are worms mating everywhere. Holy smucksville, this is not my territory, I hate worms.
I ran back down the path, inside the home I burst. I need to get to the computer, research - mating worms. I cannot post the pictures, it is stomach upsetting material. I asked Noisemaker about mating worms...he replied...geez I never spent much time thinking about mating worms.
I tried to explain well the worms are a-mating up the drive; the fish are dying in the creek. The fish eat the worms that the fisher -- people put on their lines. Do not you get it; this is nature - in its`finest!

John Prine - Madison, Wisconsin

John Prine and Jason Wilber at the Overture - Madison, Wisconsin. September 2010.
You can see the intense look on the face of John Prine as he watches Jason play the guitar. The intense look as Jason watches his guitar.
What an evening of Prine it must of been. A Tribute to Mr. Tom Reynolds (Crusher). Tom, I am guessing; must have seen Prine near a hundred times.
In the audience in Madison, was Eddy - Tom's son. A special, Prine treasure chest moment for him and his family.
A special Prine treasure chest moment for all who attended Madison.

Neil Young - Le Noise
Release Date - 28th September, 2010I had the pleasure to listen to a few songs from Le Noise off of CBC Radio Q. It was on yesterday morning but I cannot receive radio here until in the hours of darkness. CBC Q replayed it; it was a good interview. Neil was with Daniel Lanois who produced the cd.
Le Noise well, there is only Neil and his guitars.
From the songs I heard I was most impressed with a song titled Love and War. I liked Neil's fine pickin' in that song.
Long May You Run - oh Neil

Kokanee Spawn
The creek today has about 30 dead kokanee; the eagles and the rest of the birds are feasting kokanee delight!
The kokanee spawn generally begins around mid September; goes for about two weeks.
I could spend all day at the creek watching the spawn. When they do the turtle dove; side by side - well, you just do not see that everyday.
I forgot to mention because I got wrapped up in Bruce Springsteen's birthday - September 23rd was our 5 year anniversary for living mountain side. I am surprised I made it!
