A John Prine Christmas

In December when our ladies auxiliary had our christmas party, as a member you could if you wanted to, make a basket of goodies.  I opted to do this and one of the items I included in my basket was A John Prine Christmas.  Not that they get a real John Prine in the basket - lol - but the cd.  The basket was won by a friend, an auxiliary member.

I saw her the other day and asked - eh, what did you think of John Prine?  Her comment was, that music is really good!  Very good.  Well, all righty then, (my cue), I can make you some more, if you would like.  Oh sure, she replied, I would like that very much.

Included in her upcoming good year will be - John Prine (the debut album) and Standard Songs For Average People ~ John Prine and Mac Wiseman.

I love to bicycle and I love to peddle Prine!

Archie Roach

Archie Roach

My brother told me today about an artist he had heard - his name is Archie Roach!

This is wowsville!  From born under a tree in the outback of Australia to where he has securely landed, is an incredible feat.  He has strength, the will to live, and the power of his voice will echo to you.

Christmas 2014 (part two)

Christmas Fudge Wreath.  I made this for our annual ladies auxiliary christmas party.  Such great fun it was, I do so enjoy the christmas party.  It is made with Eagle Brand and there was not a slice left.  Everyone enjoyed it.

...and here we are. . .

To all visiting my page today. . .

To you and yours, Merry Christmas.

Christmas 2014

Merry Christmas John Prine Ornament.  Sits right here on my desk.  My tree is too small to fit it but it fits nicely here. . .
Hope you all have a tuneful John Prine Christmas.

Swagaprineola

oh teehee, you all had to see the coming.  Priceless it is.  I cannot stop the giggle mode.

John Prine and Oh Boy Records should do this.  They should have a contest/Swag - lol.

See more of John Prine here:  http:ohboy.comwww.jpshrine.org

All The Best - it is near Smucksville Swagaprineola!

Swag-A-PalOoza

This swag stuffola is just too funny for me.  I recently was visiting a website from Chef Michael Smith - (see more at http://chefmichaelsmith.com).  He is a great chef, indeed.  Today he offers swag.  I have only heard swag once before.

I live in rural British Columbia and I do not venture on out to cities very much. My knowledge of the 'know now' language is limited.

I have, in the past invented my own word, Smucksville.  I love that word.  I invented it when the grandkids were young.  I did not want to curse, but I wanted to get my point across.

Smucksville, can also be in an elated way - as in - wowsville.  The bombs bursting in air, fireworks, anything that does make a person on the side of happy.

Truly, the majority of folks should try to side on up with happy.

I recently turned 59 and when I went outside in the darkness of the morning of December 8th - I did sing -

Happy Birthday to me

Happy Birthday dear Beverlee

John Prine - International John Prine Day!

Way too funny.  The other day I was chatting along with Kathy and Mariette.  Kathy stated - we should have a John Prine Day.  I posted a reply in saying, sure what date.  Mariette posts a reply and writes, Smucksville, pick a date, any date or something to that writing nature.

I saw Smucksville - I saw the ~S~.   I thought, oh how wonderful smucksville!  Super Seven, September Seventh shall be International John Prine Day!

Please join me on September 7th, 2015 for International John Prine Day.
Yep - it will be Holy Prine Smucksville!

WOW

hmmm... I guess I have been very busy tending to the snow shoveling and winter conditions that have hit the mountain side.  Yikers.  We went from +10 to -27 in less than 24 hours.  Smucksville.  Truly, I will never entertain winter.

Today, November 30th would have been my Mom's 92nd birthday.  Oh my, I so remember the scents she had.  Her red lipstick - is a memory/scent I will never forget.  I do miss her, I always will.  She is a woman I admire and respect and together with my Dad, I am thankful to be writing this post.

Happy Birthday, Mom.  I Love You...and I always will.  Thank you.
Your Daughter, Beverlee
