Swag-A-PalOoza

This swag stuffola is just too funny for me.  I recently was visiting a website from Chef Michael Smith - (see more at http://chefmichaelsmith.com).  He is a great chef, indeed.  Today he offers swag.  I have only heard swag once before.

I live in rural British Columbia and I do not venture on out to cities very much. My knowledge of the 'know now' language is limited.

I have, in the past invented my own word, Smucksville.  I love that word.  I invented it when the grandkids were young.  I did not want to curse, but I wanted to get my point across.

Smucksville, can also be in an elated way - as in - wowsville.  The bombs bursting in air, fireworks, anything that does make a person on the side of happy.

Truly, the majority of folks should try to side on up with happy.

I recently turned 59 and when I went outside in the darkness of the morning of December 8th - I did sing -

Happy Birthday to me

Happy Birthday dear Beverlee

John Prine - International John Prine Day!

Way too funny.  The other day I was chatting along with Kathy and Mariette.  Kathy stated - we should have a John Prine Day.  I posted a reply in saying, sure what date.  Mariette posts a reply and writes, Smucksville, pick a date, any date or something to that writing nature.

I saw Smucksville - I saw the ~S~.   I thought, oh how wonderful smucksville!  Super Seven, September Seventh shall be International John Prine Day!

Please join me on September 7th, 2015 for International John Prine Day.
Yep - it will be Holy Prine Smucksville!

WOW

hmmm... I guess I have been very busy tending to the snow shoveling and winter conditions that have hit the mountain side.  Yikers.  We went from +10 to -27 in less than 24 hours.  Smucksville.  Truly, I will never entertain winter.

Today, November 30th would have been my Mom's 92nd birthday.  Oh my, I so remember the scents she had.  Her red lipstick - is a memory/scent I will never forget.  I do miss her, I always will.  She is a woman I admire and respect and together with my Dad, I am thankful to be writing this post.

Happy Birthday, Mom.  I Love You...and I always will.  Thank you.
Your Daughter, Beverlee

My Dearest, Lydia

From This To ...
She still seems to have somewhat a sparkle in her non eyes.  A major windstorm took her eyes and sent to a non-returnable address.  They shall return in the spring.  Lydia is eternal.

Young, Neil - This Is Beautiful

If I could hug Neil Young,  I would.

Thank You - CBC.

Our Annual Fall Dinner

My contribution to the annual Fall Dinner.  All were gobbled up and enjoyed.  Unfortunately, a lady in quick haste dumped all the leaves into the trash.  I recycle.  Thank god, all the cupcakes were eaten up by that time.

Carnations - my favorite.  They were free to take home after the gala event.

I did try to lip flap some Prine to no avail.  Paradise is much where we live in the summer months, but hell on earth in the winter time.

No matter, Mr. Prine rings through to me all year 'round.

Young Neil - The Sugar Mountain Years by Sharry Wilson

My prize arrived in the mail today.

Young Neil - The Sugar Mountain Years by Sharry Wilson.

Google - Sharry Wilson - Young Neil.

The link I previous posted does not compute.

I was beyond excitement to win this prize and to receive it on John Prines' 68th birthday.  Geez, what more could one ask for.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy 68th Birthday, John Prine

I am sending early birthday wishes today to John Prine (1946-10-10) on his 68th birthday.

May the gates of friendship that you have with your audience never show rust.

Happy Birthday, John Prine.

Lydia, my dearest....

My dearest Lydia is sad.  She missed her Donald this summer.  No one came to pay her a visit. No Hans or Jose.  Her heart is near broken and she knows winter is coming on in.  She rests her head and dreams on.
