Garden Photos

My favorite area of the flower garden.  I changed the head to my rock heart (sideways - yep, tilt your head and you will see a quartz rock heart).
The wood piece is new, I found it while I was splitting wood this year, liked it, and Woody joined up with his friends in the garden.
My container grown cauliflower.  I have already harvested the broccoli - unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it.  I received six bags which are in the freezer to use for stews and soups.
The garden has been great this year; with one exception - the tomato plant...
Bevy Bevy how does your garden grow
With silver bells and cockle shells and one god d*mn tomato

EGADS! PSA/Biopsy Results

Yesterday, was the noisemakers' birthday - 68 years young. I baked, his favorite, a lemon pie.  He had been away for the day; a trip to the doctors' office to receive his results from a PSA Test/biopsy he recently had.

My noisemaker has prostate cancer and will have surgery on August 22nd, if all goes according to plan.  Not a great birthday present.  However, it was diagnosed in the early stage and the doctor said 99% all will be well.  After surgery, four to six weeks my noisemaker will be mended and hopefully cured.

I urge everyone reading this to have (if you are male) a PSA Test.  If you are a female, tell all your male friends to have this test done.  It is a very simple test.

Noisemaker enjoyed his lemon pie.  It was the highlight of his day!

Lydia

Being as that Donald, Hans, nor Jose have not been around this summer, (yet) I have given Lydia a friend.  Someone she can look out for.  Although beatle head brush is no where near the likes of Donald ~ the Lyd did seem pleased.

As John Prine wrote a Long Monday - my Lydia sings - it is going to be a long, lonely summer.
Oh my darling, Lydia what will we do...

The Eagles

Beautiful Big Bird
Photo - taken down by the creek by my neighbor.
Another photo taken by my neighbor.  This eagle came in with a duck that it just captured.  He plucked the duck clean and then took it yonder, I guess to its' awaiting hungry family.

Great Photos - neighbor Bob!

We had to travel to the city yesterday...coming down the mountain, I took this photo - who is looking down on me...I am wondering...

When we arrived in the city I had to pay a visit to the ladies room.  I when to slipped off my jean jacket it, I lost control of it and it dropped on to the floor.  The fall broke my John Prine pendant, I was so mad.  I can fix it with glue.  It was a gift to me from my Prine friend Charlene Stevenson.  It is a treasure.

It was a very busy time in the city.  I am glad to have returned home safe and of sound mind.  I know in my heart I do want to return to live in a city again.  It will take some adjusting to do, but I am 5' up to it!
