John Prine - Milwaukee - Wishes for Pamela and Reeda

Those birds of a feather gathered together in Milwaukee for Prine.  The signs are wish signs for Pamela and Reeda - who are both under the influence of cancer.

They all love Prine.

I wish you love - I wish you happiness

John Prine - Milwaukee

Great concert - one of the best - from my friend Charlene who attended the Milwaukee concert last night.  Charlene says John had a twinkle in his eye; and I think she said a skip in his step.  May not have been a skip but he had something in his step.  I wonder if he maybe would like to jump rope - skipping rope, I know lots of songs and can adapt them very well to any John Prine song.  What do you think, John - care to do a skipping rope song with me on some street in Vancouver?  (mega major giggle).

As luck rides with Charlene, she was in the lobby of a hotel - who do you think wanders in through the revolving door - yeppers...John Prine.  ah, wearing his fine leather jacket and a scarf - but she did not mention any footwear.  I was still struck by the telephone call but I should have been thinking the boots, the boots - footwear.

Note to self - footwear, boots, skipping rope, skipping rope songs.  Oh my, now my mind is going; perhaps John takes a fancy to the tap dancing way.  I can do that - I can do three at one time - toe tappin', head noddin', john prinein and I will cover all of that in Vancouver.  teehee, hopefully with a partner.  But, if no partner, I am well acquainted with dancing on my own.  I do it all the time.

Try to focus now - can you imagine skipping rope on Robson Street in Vancouver singing a Prine song, having Naj and Brett holding the rope, then who arrives but John Prine (oh my stomach is hurting from laughter).  Maybe John would jump in and we could do doubles.  Wild thought - double dutch with John Prine.

Note to Naj - must find a polka shirt!  Bring comfortable shoes, an umbrella, and your fine sense of humor.  Lord, do not forget Brett!

WhooooooBaby, I gotta go now.....

Dave Jacques

I went searching for a photo to post on David Jacques - oh my word - I received a painter.  I placed a search for David Jacques - the bass player...the painter is still coming.  Light bulbs are starting to shine on up in my head - Dave Jacques.  Viola.  There was Bev's picture, a great picture indeed.

I had the pleasure of meeting David in 2009 in the back alley of the venue to which he, John Prine, and Jason Wilber were playing at.  Like, Jason and John - David is a gentleman.

Unfortunately, when I met David I did not have my Hatch print with me or I would have got him to autograph it.  I could not find him after the concert.

This time, I truly am hoping to meet up with David - I do need that autograph to complete my hatch print.

Yes, David - that will happen in 57 days :)

John Prine - Milwaukee

Folks you only have two more days and one full moon and then it will be Prine time!

They are all meeting up at Rudy's (see:  www.rudysmexican.com) prior to the concert.  Oh my, does not the menu look good.  I hope Rudy's sends along the message I emailed them to pass on to Mark.

Do not drink too much at Rudy's because you all need to be in full, Prine time form - your best boot/shoe forward.

Prine on, enjoy it to the max.  Think of Tom.  Hugs to you all. ~jpparadise

John Prine - Vancouver - Japa Dog

One of the places Naj, Brett, and I will be going to in Vancouver is the Japa Dog.  For more information see:

http://www.japadog.com/menu_En.html

I showed the website to Noisemaker, he says to me - you best put that in favorites - that is my kind of food.  Yes, it sure is!

For each day that passes brings a day closer to when Naj, Brett, and I will meet.  I cannot say enough times what a dream come true it is for me.  To be able to have my health, to get off the mountain side and meet Prine friends; it is wowsville.

I guess you people that read this blog of mine must know I am quite into the ville of life.  Smucksville is number one.  I thought of smucksville because of the youngins' - the grandchildren.  I did not want to use curse words in front of them - hence, Smucksville was born.  Smucksville is and all around word; use it for good or bad things.  No judgement required.

Smucksville it will be at the Japa Stand on Robson Street - May 4th or 5th - whichever takes our fancy.

Oh yes, I was out on the porch a few minutes ago singing Prine, I change up his words to songs several times...here is one...can you hear it Milwaukee...

I'm gonna get on the old turnpike and I'm gonna ride
I'm gonna leave this town til you decide
Which one you want the most those Opry stars or me
Milwaukee here I come from the mountain side, BC!

Then, I giggled

John Prine - Vancouver

To pass the day away, I like to search for John Prine events.  Today I found this one:

http://www.straight.com/timeout/search/music?page=4

Two months from today, that is where I will be along with Janis (Naj) and Brett Ferguson.

Holy Smucksville, what a time it is going to be.  Sometimes in the early morning when I go to visit the porch, I often think of Prine and getting to meet Naj.  I just sit there and giggle/smile - it warms my heart.

I think my Noisemaker is happy that Naj's husband, Brett will be walking, Prineing with us.  Noisemaker - okay - she's Prinein', that short thing is not safe down there in the lower drainland.  Oh alas, I always am - it comes natural, like dreaming.

To note - to some of you that are new here; Naj is Janis Ferguson.  I had to change her name because Janis Ferguson and Jason Wilber were far too close in the contact book.  One time I accidently sent an email to Jason Wilber and told him - you go girl - get the laundry done.  After I hit send, I realized oh my, I think I sent that to Jason.  I emailed to Jason and apologized, that email was directed to a friend not you.  Jason, being the gentleman he is; returned emailed - no problem.  I still laugh about my fumble....but in the same breath - it was kind of like a touchdown.  I do receive emails from Jason in regards to his radio program; www.jasonwilber.com but only have I had one concerning a mistake in Jason and Janis doing laundry.  :)

Beautiful Fresh White Stuff

Outside my door, this morning - beautiful white fresh stuff just waiting to be shovelled.  My word, it is so heavy today, I finally gave up.  Noisemakers' turn.

While I was shovelling, as previously mentioned I was singing Diamonds In The Rough ~ John Prine.  Humidity is high here today so I also sang Humdity Built The Snowman and then giggled.  I thought of Sue Umbrella sitting there last night in Hershey toe tappin' to that tune.

I keep wondering which song I would like John Prine to play in Vancouver on May 5th.  Geez and smucksville; they all get rolling around in my head and I get everything all mixed up.  Sort of turns into something like this...
Humidity built the snowman
Sunshine brought it down...
Oh John, I am so sick of this snow
And soon my plough boys will come
You got gold, gold inside of you
I got some, gold inside me too
But if I had wings I'd fly off to Milwaukee
Oh - I'm sorry my daughter but you are too late in asking
Mr. Peabody's coal train has hauled it away
But why does he not come and haul my snow away
and what do you want to be when you grow up
Jesus - said god - oh my god what have I got myself into
I have so much (curse word) snow to shovel,
I think I'm gonna drown - that's the way that the world goes 'round

Words of John Prine and I.

John Prine - Milwaukee

The Marcus Center For The Performing Arts - Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Friday, March 9th, 2012
John Prine

Smucksville, this is one concert I wish I could see.  However, my time is just around the corner.  Two months from today, I leave for Vancouver to Prine on May 5th.

In Milwaukee, I hope John plays - Diamonds in the Rough.  I think that would be a very special song for Tom Reynolds (Crusher).  I was singing that song this morning when I was outside shovelling that white stuff.  My word, we have a ton of white stuff to shovel today.  I had to break and sit a spell.

Must have been quite the Prine concert last night in Hershey - Sue Umbrella was so excited in her posts of last night and this morning.  The shy lass even managed to yell out a request and in Prine style, he played it.

John Prine - Hershey, PA

Tonight, is where Sue Umbrella will be.  (for more information and to view a great picture of John Prine, Jason Wilber, and David Jacques  - visit - http://www.hersheytheatre.com/performances_events/details.php?id+12646

~they changed the photo, but you get my Prine drift, can you feel the Prine drift.  .  .  .

I do not believe I have saw so many creative posts about the countdown to John Prine on facebook as I have had with Sue Umbrella.  The young lass is very creative.

I have (along with Brett and Janis Ferguson from Winnipeg, Manitoba) 62 more days to go to see John Prine in Vancouver, B.C.  I never dreamed in my wildest dreams (believe me, I dream big time), thought I would see John Prine again let alone meet a friend and her husband.

As mentioned in a previous post John Prine is now well on the side of age 50.  Oops, now was that 60 - ah, I would like to post that it makes no matter, but it does.  We all know and recognize age is upon us.  I am thankful to be able to see the Singer/Songwriter, John Prine;  once again in Vancouver.

I am thankful for much in my life.  I have a roof over my head, a freezer full of food, a pantry - Martha would love.  I can cooked, I have the love of family, and they all understand - Gramma Shaw, Aunty Bev, oh that sister of mine - last but not, my Noisemaker - she Prines'.

John Prine - Blue Umbrella

I think Najee, Brett, and I will need a blue umbrella when we - you know - attend John Prine -
Vancouver, May 5th 2012.  It rains mega in Vancouver.

...blue umbrella rest upon my shoulders; hide the pain while the rain makes up my mind - John Prine.

John Prine - Vancouver - The Centre For The Performing Arts

Oh, my can you imagine - once again, I will pound the pavement, troop on up to see John Prine here at the Centre For the Performing Arts - Homer Street - Vancouver.  I do hope this time John Prine does receive a full blown poster, he did not have that in 2009.  2009 was humming with the 2010 Olympics.  May 5th, 2012 will be for me, Janis and Brett Ferguson - humming John Prine!
