The Mountain Side

The photo is coming down off the mountain, going to the city. Everytime I look at this picture, I cannot believe how high in elevation we actually live and exist!

I think last night, Bruce Springsteen may have been a lil bit on the higher elevation side...he was doing a concert at the Auburn Palace located in Michigan....

...he came on stage and said ...
'Hello Ohio'

Maybe he needs sometime on real higher elevation - the mountain side.

Quiet On The Mountain Side

It has been a quiet couple of days on the mountain side, I have not been quiet up to par. When I thought of 'par', I thought of parlapiano and how I should be par-laying (my french). I have several made up french words.

Yes, I received some sort of 'I am tired now' bug, I had no energy. I have been trying to stay on taking some of noisemakers vitamins (those seniors kind), it is kind of hit and miss. Same hit and miss with the ColdFX pills. I am not a pill taker, I would not make good hospital material.

Tomorrow is our community Christmas Bazaar; lots of the area artists/craft folk sell their merchandise. It is great for the community. We always buy our jam there. You can buy llama wool sweaters, lots of knitted items, baked goods; it is a fun event. Noisemaker and I hope to attend but we have to be back home at a certain time because sports on the television is near at an all time high.

Neil Percival Kenneth Ragland Young

I cannot wait nor sit any longer to wish Neil Young a Happy Birthday - smucksville he is 64 tomorrow! Somewhere on earth is must be passed 12 p.m.

Neil was born in Toronto, Ontario to Rassy and Scott Young. He is an artist, a musician, and an activist. For some reason, unknown to me, he has been cast with the title - the Godfather of Grunge. He spent his teenage or somewhat thereof, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The photo you see above is thanks to Phil Parlapiano (god, I like that name - everytime I see it, I think I should be at a parlor playing piano). Phil has played on several John Prine songs. See more at http://www.parlapiano.com/

In the center of the photo is a very young, handsome John Prine, standing next to a Young, Neil.

Here is a photo, somewhat recent of Neil Young. Still flashing the peace sign. Neil will be honored as the 2010 MusiCares Person Of The Year on January 29th, 2010. To appear is Emmy Lou Harris, K.D. Lang, John Mellancamp, James Taylor, Crosby-Stills-Nash, to name a few.

Happy Birthday, Neil

His Life Was Taken Away Too Soon

It saddens me to have write this, Bubba is no longer with us. He was killed instantly by a truck this morning. It is just so sad.

We had snow overnight, this morning was beautiful sunshine. I was out shovelling the fresh blanket and Bubba stopped by. We played, he was having such fun in the white stuff, running and playing.

He went back home and I walked up to the mail boxes. I heard commotion and ran up to the road side only to see Bubba laying there, still. I knew what had just taken place. I ran home in tears.

I feel very sorry for Chris. He was doing so good with Bubba; he was trying to be responsible and do everything right for his new puppy. Bubba has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and I know my four legged love is taking really good care of him.

I Have The 'M' Thing

Menopause, is a fact of nature and I do feel somewhat sorry for folks (female or male) who gracefully place their heads in the sand. . and think yep - there is nothing wrong - nothing makes sense, I opt not for that.

There is a sense of time, where nothing seems right - I refer to that same feeling when I was turning a teenager.

Now I think I want M&M's, I want chocolate! Dill Pickles! Peace and quiet.
